Book of Flowers.

Written by Thomas Baekdal | Tuesday, May 24, 2011

You have probably heard it already. Amazon is now selling more ebooks than paperback and hardcovers combined. And that is a total shift in format in just 4 years. The traditional book is dying.

But this change opens up a whole new world of creative use of old books, like this amazing artwork by Kate McCreary.

The "Book of Flowers" design repurposes unused books by cutting them into sections on a bandsaw and curling them into a flower-like design. Sections are rebound together to create a large mosaic of paper which hangs from a wall.
